Installation ceremony of newly -elected council of LETSB of DU held

The installation ceremony of newly -elected 2022-2024 executive council of Leather Engineers and Technologists Society Bangladesh (LETS'B) was held on Friday at Dhaka University Leather Engineering and Technology Institute premises.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman was present as the chief guest on the occasion.
Chairman of the newly elected committee of the organization, AKM Mushfiqur Rahman Masud, spoke at the event, among others, the director of the Institute of Leather Engineering and Technology, Dhaka University. Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, chief advisor of the organization.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman emphasized on creating skilled technologists within the country for the development of tannery industry and said that Dhaka University will play an important role in creating skilled human resources in this sector through education, research and advanced training of graduates.
He mentioned that the curriculum of the Institute of Leather Engineering and Technology of the University has been designed keeping in mind the needs of the tannery industry.
The Vice-Chancellor called upon the teachers, researchers, entrepreneurs and related parties to play a role in the economic development of the country through the expansion of industry-academia relationship and inclusive participation.
