Industry, Trade Fair begins in Gaibandha without ignoring objections of people

Amid the objections of the people, the Industry and Trade Fairs are being started in Gaibandha.
Deputy Commissioner Chowdhury Moazzam Ahmed will inaugurate the fair at the Officers Quarter ground next to Gaibandha Sadar Upazila Model School and College on Thursday afternoon.
Earlier, the school authorities had appealed to the Deputy Commissioner to take action not to organize trade fairs next to the educational institution.
People demand that local businessmen do not benefit from the trade fair, no interests of the businessmen are protected. In addition, the product sold at the fair is extremely low quality and expired, as well as extra prices.
A syndicate shop is found at the fair. The syndicate organizes trade fairs in various places. Earlier this year, trade fair was held in Gaibandha. Al Mamun, the proprietor of the fair, along with the leaders of the anti -discrimination student movement, also made a noise and made it up to the case. The case is still pending in court.
Regarding the trade fair, the city's readymade cloth trader Mamun said, "Gaibandha is a small town, it is offensive to match twice a year." Because of this fair, local small businessmen are harmed. In most cases, buyers are cheated by shopping at the fair.
Local resident Arif Alal said, "The trade fair is being started without ignoring our objections." It is sad to organize a trade fair next to the educational institution. There is no objection to the fair, but why the school? I am the kind of administration's attention to move it elsewhere.
Gaibandha Sadar Upazila Model School and College Principal Pramoda Ranjan Pal said that they had appealed to the Deputy Commissioner to stop the fair in the wake of the demands of the respondents.
