Religious Adviser AFM Khalid Hossain in Narayanganj said that if pilgrims can be sent by sea to perform Hajj, the fare will be 40 percent less than the air fare. In a meeting with the Saudi Hajj Minister, when we proposed to send Hajj by sea, they agreed to our proposal.
Large charter ships have to be hired to send Haji’s. To do this, we will need two thousand crore rupees. If Bangladesh Bank gives us loan then we can do it.

At this time, the religious advisor AFM Khalid Hossain also said that the government is trying its best to reduce the Hajj package. We have had a meeting with the Bangladesh Aviation Authority in this regard. The airline authority has agreed in principle to the fare reduction. Discussions will also be held with seaport authorities and shipping companies soon. So we hope to bring down the Hajj package to a reasonable level.
Pointing out that there is no danger of vandalism in the puja, he said, the puja has been going on peacefully for the last two days. We hope that the celebration of Sharadiya Durga Puja will be completed smoothly and beautifully. So far we have no reports of any major violence. There is no threat of sabotage.
