Staff Correspondent

Minister for Housing and Public Works, war-wounded freedom fighter RAM Obaidul Muktadir Chowdhury MP said that different people may have different opinions, but I will not support any opinion against Liberation War and independence.

He said this as a chief guest at the publicatiin ceremony of four books by the Math and Path Publishing House on Saturday at Professor Dr. Muhammad Habibullah Auditorium of the Faculty of Business Education of Dhaka University.

He said, 'As many ways as there are different ways' people may have different opinions. We all agree on differences of opinion, but any opinion against the liberation war and independence of the country is not acceptable.

The minister said that those who are against the liberation war, those who do not believe in the independence of this country are now speaking in favor of the liberation war. Those who do not believe in democracy also talk about democracy. Such duplicity can never be acceptable.

Explaining the goals and objectives of the great liberation war, he said, under the leadership of Bangabandhu, we joined the liberation war with the objective of building a non-exploitative, discrimination-free, democratic and secular state system.

Our aim was to establish the rights of every human being. Bangabandhu's main objective was to create a prosperous state without exploitation, hunger and poverty. A large number of people of the country participated in the liberation war to achieve this objective.
