In Cumillas Muradnagar Upazila Health Complex, despite not coming to work for 4 years, an allegation of withdrawing about 11.5 lakh taka from regular salary and allowance is against a Rahima Begum. Around 1995, he was employed as an inspector in the Upazila Health Complex. In the middle of 2019, Rahima Begum went on leave due to physical illness. Even though the leave period is over, he has not been seen at his workplace for the past four years except when withdrawing salary and allowances.

An official who did not want to be named said that when digital attendance (fingerprint) of all officials and employees of the health complex was brought under attendance, finger print of husband Jamal Hossain was taken instead of finger print of Rahima Begum.

Since then every day Swami Jamal Hossain has been showing attendance through his finger print in attendance machine. Basically, with the help of some dishonest officials of the health complex, Rahima Begum has been withdrawing 24,000 taka salary and all kinds of government facilities every month without coming to work without any leave for the past 4 years.

Rahima Begum's husband's house Abdul Jalil of Paramatla village said that Rahima Begum is not that sick. He keeps himself busy with various farming activities from home all the time. Basically, I heard that her husband Jamal Hossain is a lazy person, that's why she has been managing the hospital officials and giving her duties to her husband for a long time.

Denying all the allegations, Rahima Begum said, I got pain in my leg and was almost paralyzed in a road accident. For several years I had difficulty walking. Since then I am now somewhat better as a result of regular treatment. I go to hospital duty every day, I cannot work due to illness so my husband helps in my presence.

However, husband Jamal Hossain is saying something different about his wife's illness. He said, My wife is very sick with back pain for a long time. Later I took the big sirs by the hand and feet and I did all the work with his permission to do all the work in his presence.

Muradnagar Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Enamul Haque said, I came to know about Rahima Begum after taking charge here. In fact, the officers who were before me knew about Rahima Begum's illness and allowed her husband to do duty in the presence of Rahima Begum from a humanitarian point of view. Even after that I am looking into the matter seriously.
