Hijra community discussion meeting held in Sylhet

A discussion meeting was held on the participation of the Hijra community in national development and what to do. The meeting was held at the Sylhet District Commissioner's conference room on the initiative of Nari Udyog Kalyan Samiti on Sunday noon.
In the speech of the chief guest in the exchange meeting, Deputy Commissioner of Sylhet Sheikh Russell Hasan said that it is necessary to improve the quality of life of the Hijra community and increase their involvement in the overall development work of the country.
The government is supporting them through various skill training. By doing this, Hijras will become self-reliant. Along with hair cutting training in the salon, it is possible to make it vertical by learning to work in a beauty parlor, computer training and sewing machine training.
Nari Udyog Kalyan Samiti and Shrestha Joyita Shahida Shikder Presided over and Soumik Banik conduct the meeting.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Mobarak Hossain of Sylhet, Rajat Kanti Gupta, President of Sammilita Natya Parishad Sylhet, Journalist Ahmad Ali spoke as special guests.
