Heroin seized in RAB operation in Sirajganj, two arrested

RAB arrested two drug dealers along with 955 grams of heroin worth Tk 1 crore by raiding a passenger bus in Mannan Nagar Bazar area of Tarash Upazila of Sirajganj.The operation was conducted on Tuesday afternoon.
The arrested are Qudrat-e-Khuda (27), son of deceased Shafiqul Islam of Lakshipur Bhatapara area of Rajpara police station of Rajshahi district and Hawanur Begum (30), wife of deceased Mujibar of Dighiram Gunthihar area of Godagari police station of the same district.
RAB-12 Company Commander Lt. Md. Abul Hashem Sabuj confirmed this information through a press release on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the press release, two people were arrested along with 955 grams of heroin by searching the passenger bus at the mentioned place based on intelligence information.
After filing a case against the detained accused, they have been handed over to Tarash police station along with the recovered evidence.
