Halle Bailey welcomes baby boy

“Little Mermaid” actor Halle Bailey and her boyfriend, rapper DDG, are officially parents to a baby boy. The actor took to Instagram Saturday evening to reveal that the pair welcomed their first child, a son they named Halo.
Bailey shared a photo, which featured her holding her son’s tiny hand with a gold bracelet, inscribed with his name “Halo.” She wrote in the post’s caption, “Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son.. welcome to the world my halo the world is desperate to know you.”
DDG also shared the same photo on his Instagram, writing, “My biggest blessing by far son son.. never been so in love baby halo.” The social media post came as a delightful surprise for fans, as the duo never confirmed that they were expecting a baby.
Bailey and DDG have reportedly been dating for more than a year, as the couple went Instagram official in March 2022 when the rapper shared a post on The Color Purple star’s birthday.
Bailey previously told People magazine in a May 2023 interview that she “would” call the Zooted Music record label founder her real-life Prince Charming.
“I think the best thing about young love is that you’re able to continue to find yourself through this journey of loving somebody else,” the actress said at the time. “And you’re discovering new parts of yourself and maybe things that you didn’t notice before about your heart.”
