GUJ convening committee formed

A seven-member convening committee of the 'Gopalganj Journalists Union' (GUJ) has been formed with the participation of journalists from print and electronic media working in Gopalganj.
The committee was announced at a meeting held at the Gopalganj Press Club premises on Saturday at 5 pm. Md. Selim Reza, District Correspondent of Nayadiganta and Ananda TV, has been appointed as the Convener and Jayanta Shirali, District Correspondent of Somoy TV, has been appointed as the Member Secretary.
Other members of the committee are Mamunur Sikder Jewel, Sajjad Hossain, Nimaz Khan, Al Mamun Rana and Golam Rabbani.
Md. Selim Reza presided over the meeting. Gopalganj Press Club President BM Jobair Hossain, who was present as the chief guest, announced the new committee and called on journalists to work unitedly to protect their professional dignity and rights.
Press Club Vice President Bulbul Alam Bulu, Joint General Secretary Md. Ariful Haque Arif and other journalists participated in the meeting.
The newly formed convening committee will be responsible for forming a full committee within the next 60 working days.
