Divisional Commissioner Abu Ahmed Siddiqui, NDC said that the Interim Government will definitely make arrangements for the livelihood of the family members of those injured and martyred in the mass uprising of students and public in July-August.

Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus has assured them of this.

He said this while speaking as the chief guest at a memorial meeting organized at the District Shilpakala Academy on Thursday in the presence of their family members in memory of those injured and martyred in the mass uprising of students and public in July-August. A minute's silence was observed in the meeting in memory of the injured and martyred.

Police Commissioner Md. Rezaul Karim, PPM-Service, DIG Md. Mushfequr Rahman, Police Superintendent Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman, Civil Surgeon Dr. Manisar Chowdhury, coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement, journalists, family members of those injured and martyred in the student-public uprising.

Stating that the people of the country got a new Bangladesh in the coordinated mass uprising, Divisional Commissioner Abu Ahmed Siddiqui, NDC said, those who gave their lives in the fight for justice to steer the state on the right path will be remembered by the nation. It is now everyone's responsibility to build a new discrimination-free Bangladesh according to their intentions.

Stating that the warriors of religion or the path of justice show the way to others as beacons, the Divisional Commissioner further said, those who gave their lives in the mass uprising, made sacrifices, and suffered hardships without thinking about their families - they are the best children of the nation.

At the memorial meeting, speakers mentioned the state's responsibility for naming various establishments after the martyrs of the July-August mass uprising and providing proper treatment to the injured. At the same time, they demanded that the list of those injured in the mass uprising be completed quickly and accurately.

They called for unity to confront all conspiracies to maintain the independence stained with the blood of the students and the masses. At the end of the meeting, memorials and grants were given to the family members of the injured and martyrs of the July-August mass uprising of the students and the masses.
