Govt changes displeasing names of 247 primary schools

The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education has changed the names of 247 government primary schools as most of these sounded unpleasant and many bore negative connotations.
The ministry issued a notification in this regard on Wednesday. As per the notification, the names of the aforementioned schools have been made harmonious to the ear and rational.
Some of the changes in the public primary school names include: Salampur primary school from the original Godagachha school in Lalpur, Natore; Matrichhara school from Chormara school in Sirajganj; and Barnamala school from the original Bhandagram primary school in Thakurgaon.
