Gopalganj -1 Seat : Mass campaign of candidates going on

Ahead of the upcoming 13th National Parliament election, BNP's nominated candidate for Gopalganj-1 (Muksudpur and Kashiani) Constituency, BNP's National Executive Committee's Co-Organizing Secretary Selimuzzaman Selim has been conducting extensive campaigning and public relations in the election field since receiving his nomination.

He is constantly connecting. He is constantly holding meetings with party leaders and activists regarding the election plan. The nominated candidate of the Islamic Movement, Adv. Md. Mizanur Rahman, and the nominated candidate of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maulana Abdul Hamid, are similarly campaigning and connecting with the masses in the field. In addition, it is being heard that a few independent candidates are contesting the election.
Gopalganj-1 constituency has been formed by Muksudpur Municipality and 16 unions of Muksudpur Upazila and 7 unions of Kashiani Upazila, totaling 1 municipality and 23 unions. The total number of voters in this constituency is 4,07,762. Out of these, 2,07,518 are males and 2,00,244 are females.

Those who are working in the field with the aim of electing the Gopalganj-1 constituency in the next national parliamentary elections are the nominated candidate of the Nationalist Party (BNP), BNP National Executive Committee's Co-Organizing Secretary Selimuzzaman Selim. He was born into a respectable Molla family of Maheshpur Union in Kashiani Upazila. His grandfather Alim Molla was the Panchayat head of that region. Although his father Alhaj Moazzem Hossain was a government official, he started his education in the village where he grew up, Joynagar Government Primary School in his childhood and after passing SSC from Joynagar High School, he was admitted to Dhaka Residential Model College for Higher Secondary. After passing Higher Secondary from Dhaka Residential, his political career began when he was admitted to Dhaka University in the hope of pursuing higher education. First, in 1989, Sir F. Rahman became the Joint Secretary of the Chhatra Dal, and later was elected the General Secretary of Dhaka University Chhatra Dal twice. He became a member of Bangladesh Nationalist Party in 1993 and later served as the Publicity Secretary. He then served as the joint secretary and vice-president of Bangladesh Nationalist Chhatra Dal. While in the Youth Dal, he also served as the acting president of the party. 1996
In 1997, he was elected as a member of the Senate of Dhaka University. Currently, Selimuzzaman Selim is serving as the Co-Organizing Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). When the entire country was in turmoil due to the misrule and cases of the previous Awami government, including attacks, murders, rising commodity prices, and the farcical elections, he led the party from the front in every movement and struggle. He had to be imprisoned repeatedly for his leading role in the movement and for protecting the grassroots leaders and activists from the hands of Awami terrorists and the police. He contested the election on the nomination of the Nationalist Party (BNP) in the Gopalganj-1 (Muksudpur and Kashiani) constituency. Since 2008, Selimuzzaman Selim has worked regularly in the field with party leaders and workers. Considering his long-standing political activities and his constant presence in the area and his association with the Trinamool Congress, the Nationalist Party (BNP) has given the party nomination to Selimuzzaman Selim, the co-organizing secretary of the BNP's national executive committee, in the Gopalganj-1 constituency. Since receiving the nomination, Selimuzzaman Selim has been holding meetings and holding mass meetings in villages every day based on the opinions of party leaders and workers.

Selimuzzaman Selim is working hard day and night to garner public support to be elected as a member of parliament from this constituency in the upcoming national elections. Party leaders and activists are also working extensively in the field to get BNP's nominated candidate Selimuzzaman elected as an MP. Talking to voters in various areas of the Gopalganj-1 constituency, it has been learned that BNP's Selimuzzaman Selim's condition is much better this year than in other years. Many have commented that he has a higher chance of winning as a member of parliament in this election.

Islami Andolan Bangladesh's nominated candidate for Gopalganj-1 constituency, Central Organizing Secretary of Islamic Lawyers Council, Adv. Md. Mizanur Rahman, is campaigning and regularly engaging in public relations in the upcoming National Parliament elections. He has already continued his campaign activities through public relations motorcycle showdowns in various unions of the upazila. In the last 2018 election, Adv. Mizanur Rahman came second in the election against Awami League's heavyweight candidate Muhammad Faruk Khan. He said that Islami Andolan Bangladesh has a good reserve vote in this constituency. Adv. Mizanur Rahman is widely known in his area as the candidate of Islami Andolan Bangladesh has contested the National Parliament elections from this constituency several times in the past. Islami Andolan Bangladesh's nominated candidate, Adv. Mizanur Rahman, said, "We want elections through the PR system. If elections are held through the PR system, representation of all parties in parliament will be ensured. There will be no chance of establishing a one-party dictatorship." If we are elected, we will eliminate the discrimination in this constituency. We will permanently stop extortion, lawsuits, harassment of innocent people and drug dens in the area and bring back comfort by removing discomfort among the people - InshaAllah. He also said that the Amir of the Islamic Movement of Bangladesh has nominated him for the Gopalganj-1 constituency. Ad: Mizanur Rahman has been regularly conducting extensive mass mobilization in the election field along with party leaders and activists since receiving the nomination.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has nominated Maulana Abdul Hamid, former principal of Gopalganj Kamil Madrasa and former Ameer of Gopalganj district branch of Jamaat-e-Islami and currently a member of the District Majlish-e-Sura, as a candidate in Gopalganj-1 constituency. This is the first time that he is campaigning and making mass contact as a candidate in the National Parliament election from this constituency. Since receiving the nomination, he has been regularly making mass contact in the constituency along with party leaders and activists. Maulana Abdul Hamid has been serving as the principal of Gopalganj Kamil Madrasa for a long time and has a good relationship with the teachers throughout the district, as well as his numerous students throughout the area. All in all, the leaders and activists of Jamaat have worked extensively with Maulana Abdul Hamid, the nominated candidate for Gopalganj-1 constituency of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, in this constituency with the expectation of a good result in the upcoming National Parliament election.

In the upcoming national parliamentary elections, all the candidates in Gopalganj-1 constituency are regularly running from one end of the field to the other with their leaders and activists in the hope of winning the trust of the people. In the upcoming elections, the garland of victory will depend on the decision of the voters.
