Goat trader crushed under drum truck wheel in Taraganj

A passenger riding behind a motorcycle was thrown off and crushed under the wheel of a drum truck in front of Ghanirampur Govy Primary School on the Rangpur-Syedpur highway at Taraganj in Rangpur on Thursday.
It is learnt that on the night of April 20 at 10 PM, Mahbubar Rahman (58), the son of deceased Jahir Rahman and a goat trader from Ghanirampur riverside village in Kursha Union of the upazila, was returning home from Taraganj market when he was hit from behind by a drum truck (11-5174, Jessore-T) on the Rangpur-Dinajpur highway in front of Ghaniram pur Govt Primary School, and he was crushed under the truck's wheel and died at the scene. This has been confirmed by Taraganj UNO Rubel Rana.
