Genocide Day observed in Gafargaon

Wreath laying and prayers were held on the occasion of 25th March Genocide Day in Gafargaon Upazila of Mymensingh district.
These programs were held at the local Launchghata slaughterhouse at 5 pm on the initiative of the upazila administration.
After the wreath laying, a minute's silence was observed and prayers were observed for the peace of the souls of the martyrs who were killed in the surprise attack of the Pakistani invasion forces on the sleeping thousands of people on the night of March 25, 71.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Abidur Rahman, Gafargaon Police Station OC (Investigation) Anwar Hossain, Freedom Fighter Mofiz Ahmed, Upazila Fisheries Officer Tanveer Malek, Acting Primary Education Officer Md. Saiful Malek, URC Instructor Abu Saeed, President of Upazila Corruption Prevention Committee Dr. KM Ehsan, Gafargaon Press Club President Shafiqul Qadir and others were present.
