General strike in Habiganj demanding resolution of cadre discrimination

According to the instructions of the Prime Minister, elimination of cadre discrimination, promotion to the post of supernumerary, promotion to the third grade of professor, payment of accrued leave and protection of cadre composition, cancellation of recruitment rules of Directorate of Primary Education and Directorate of Madrasa Education, withdrawal of non-educators from the scheduled posts of education cadre and necessary.
The members of the association are observing a general strike at Brindavan Government College, Habiganj, on the initiative of the BCS General Education Association, like all over the country, to realize all the just demands of the BCS General Education cadre, including the creation of posts.
The strike was observed on Monday (October 2) at 10 am in the college premises. The organizers said, if the government does not accept our demands, then the continuous strike will continue from the 10th.
