Former Chairman Ful Mia Holds Press Conference in Sunamganj to Protest False News Report

Ful Mia, former Chairman of Gourarang Union in Sunamganj Sadar Upazila and former Vice President of the Sunamganj District BNP, held a press conference to protest a false news report published against him.
He read out a statement at his own office on Panama Gali in Sunamganj town on Sunday.
At the press conference, Ful Mia said: “A false and motivated news report has been published against me on an online portal in Sunamganj. I strongly condemn and protest it.”
He claimed that for the Roads and Highways Department’s four-lane work under the Sunamganj Development Project, he received an order to supply 1.5 million cubic feet of bituminous sand in the name of Wahiduzzaman Chowdhury and Messrs Janmobhumi Construction. After getting the responsibility to supply 1 million cubic feet on November 23, 2025, and another 500,000 cubic feet on January 14, 2026—totaling 1.5 million cubic feet—he delivered the entire consignment to the Sunamganj Roads and Highways Department’s four-lane development project on May 26, 2026.
However, an online newspaper and a TV channel reported that he sold the project sand elsewhere. Ful Mia said this is completely false and fabricated.
He further stated: “I was repeatedly elected Chairman of Gourarang Union, Sunamganj Sadar. A certain group is publishing various reports to damage my political career.
At the press conference, former Chairman and Sunamganj District BNP Vice President Ful Mia urged the media to verify facts before publishing news.
