Howanak Keruntali (Forest Division), Forestbeat Officer Md Jobaidul Hasan has allegedly vandalized the house of old and helpless Badsha Mia, a resident of East Jamalpara area, looting and harassing her with false cases.

Victim Badsha Mia said, Keruntali Beat officer Md Zobaidul Hasan has demanded Tk 1 lakh from us for the fuel of some Ku-Chakri Mahals in the area.

Due to not being able to collect the money demanded by him on time, some identified terrorists led by Md Zobaidul Hasan have recently broken down the house in the name of operation, the amount of damage is about 30 lakhs, looting the house, cash, gold ornaments, mobile sets.

The land documents and furniture have been looted and harassed with false cases.They also said that all our 5 children are studying, we have nothing to support us, we have no place to eat, we are currently living in the sun and rain.

In this situation, we seek the cooperation of all including the administration, political leaders and public representatives, we want to get rid of the oppression and torture of the forest department.

They also said that thousands of buildings and houses have been built in Pahari Mouza No. 12 in this area, but no raids have been conducted on their houses, they are collecting lakhs of rupees from the owners of those buildings and houses at a monthly rate, so they are not raiding their houses. We demand exemplary punishment for the corrupt and fraudulent bit officer Zobaidul Hasan of the Forest Department.

These corrupt and swindling forest officers are constantly extorting huge sums of money from the mountain grabbers and land robbers by giving them the opportunity to sell piece of land, cut mountain trees, soil from the hill and set up illegal mills in exchange for money. I strongly demand to take legal action against them.
