
Food packets distributed among poor in Jamalpur

On the occasion of the holy Ramadan, food packets have been distributed among 100 poor families under the Bangladesh government's food basket distribution project with the financial support of the Saudi government in the Jamalpur district under Melandhaha upazil.
The food packets were distributed at the doctor's house on the afternoon of March 4. Senior Secretary to the Government of Bangladesh AKM Ehsanul Haque was present as the chief guest.
Among others who spoke were former DGM of the Electricity Development Board Alhaj Nazrul Islam Khokon, Upazila BNP Vice President Anwarul Qadir Shyamal Talukder, Reporters Unity President-Ittefaq/New Nation Correspondent Shah Jamal, District Primary Teachers Association President Habibullah, District Scouts Vice President Aminul Islam, melandaha powro BNP General Secretary A. Latif, Upazila Sports Association member AKM Nasimul Karim Mamun, and Swarakala General Secretary AKM Zakirul Haque Mintu were among the others.
The food pack contained 10 kg of rice, 7 kg of pulses, 3 kg of oil, 3 kg of sugar and 1 kg of salt, a total of 24 kg. The current market price of which is 3,500 taka. The project was implemented by Sunbulah Welfare Association Dhaka.
