Flood death toll rises to 27, over 1.2mn families affected

The death toll from the devastating flood has risen to 27, with at least 1,207,429 families adversely affected across seven districts in the country as of Tuesday.
Farooq-e Azam, disaster management and relief adviser came up with the figures while addressing a press conference over the country’s overall flood situation at his secretariat office in Dhaka this afternoon.
The highest number of fatalities in the floods so far took place in Comilla, where 10 people have lost their lives, he said.
