Fatikchhari Lelang UP Chairman Shahin arrested

DB Police arrested Sarwar Hossain Shahin, chairman of Lelang UP in Fatikchhari upazila, from Gate No. 2 area of the city.
After the arrest, he was shown arrested in the case of murder of a madrasa student at Hathazari Police Station.
He was arrested on the night of January 8. Confirming the matter, Hathazari Police Station OC Abu Kausar Mohammad Hossain said that there is a case of murder of a madrasa student in Hathazari against the arrested accused. He has been sent to the learned court.
It is mentionable that on March 26, 2021, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to Dhaka to attend the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Bangladesh's independence. In protest of his arrival, leaders and activists of Hefazat took out a procession from Al Jamiatul Ahlia Darul Ulum Mainul Islam Madrasa in Hathazari that afternoon. Four madrasa students were killed in the shooting there. Later, there were attacks and vandalism at Hathazari Police Station, Land Office and Government Post Office.
In this incident, the father of the deceased student Kazi Mirajul Islam, Kazi Jahangir Hossain, filed a case in the court of Chittagong Judicial Magistrate Shahriar Iqbal. The case named 41 people and made 150 unidentified people accused.
