Father attempts suicide after killing two sons in Pallabi

A 40-year-old man has been admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in critical condition after allegedly attempting suicide following the murder of his two children in the capital’s Pallabi area.
The identities of the deceased, aged around 7 and 3 years, could not be known immediately. The father was identified as Ahad Ali.
"The incident occurred early Saturday at a house in Baigartek area of Pallabi. Ahad reportedly slit the throats of his two sons before attempting to take his own life. Police arrived at the scene and discovered him critically injured with a self-inflicted wound to his neck," said Sub-Inspector (SI) of Pallabi Police Station Md Majedul.
“Police have initiated an investigation to determine the motive and uncover the circumstances behind this tragic incident,” The SI added.
