Father, son found dead in city flat

Police recovered the bodies of a man and his son from their flat at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Md Mashiur Rahman, and his son Sadat, an intermediate student of a local college.
Meanwhile, locals recovered the deceased's daughter Sinthiya, 13, in critical condition and sent her to a nearby hospital.
Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station officer-in-charge Mohammad Ali said being informed, by locals, they rushed there and found Mashiur hanging with the ceiling fan while Sadat's body was fallen down on the bed.
"It is assuming that the father may have tried to kill the son and daughter but the daughter managed to survive," he said.
However, locals rescued the girl from the spot and sent her to a nearby hospital before police reached the spot, said the OC Mohammad Ali.
The bodies were sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital for autopsy and the actual reason behind the death would be known after investigation, added the OC.
