Farmer with cow die due to lightning in Kamalganj

A farmer named Som Shabdkar (42) died due to lightning while grazing cows in the field in Kamalganj upazila of Moulvibazar. At this time one of his cows died. The deceased is the son of deceased Girindra Shabdkar of North Tilakpur village of Kamalganj Sadar Union No. 5 of Som Shabdkar Upazila. This incident happened around 9:30 am on Sunday.
Pratap Shabdkar, president of District Shabdkar Samaj Unyan Parishad, a resident of Tilakpur village, confirmed this information and said that Sunday morning at 9:30 am.
On the other hand, farmer Som Shabdkar went to graze cows in the empty field next to his house. At one point, Soma Shabdkar died on the spot due to a sudden lightning strike. At the same time his cow died. Later, the locals quickly rescued him and took him to the Kamalganj Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor in charge declared him dead.
Officer-in-charge of Kamalganj police station Sanjay Chakraborty said that the incident site was visited after receiving the news. The body of Soma Shabdkar will be handed over to his relatives after the legal process in this regard.
Kamalganj Upazila Project Implementation Officer Mohammad Asaduzzaman said that the family of Som Shabdkar, who was killed in the lightning strike, has been allocated Tk 20,000 in cash by the District Commissioner.
Meanwhile, Kamalganj UNO Sifat Uddin and Kamalganj Sadar UP Chairman Abdul Hannan visited the spot on Sunday after receiving the news of the incident and handed over Tk.
