A farmer named Alauddin (45) was killed in a clash between two groups over a previous land dispute in Chunarughat of Habiganj.
The incident took place at Kastila village in Mirashi Union of the upazila. The deceased Alauddin was the son of Hurun Miah of that area.
According to police and local sources, on July 27 around 5:00 PM, a clash broke out between the two parties centering on an old land dispute.
At one stage of the clash, Alauddin was seriously injured in an attack by the rival group. He was admitted to Dhaka Orthopedic Medical College Hospital in critical condition, where he died while undergoing treatment on Monday noon.
Chunarughat Police Station OC Md. Nur Alam confirmed the matter.
