Farmer killed in attack by opponent in Manohardi

Farmer Ain Uddin (38) was killes by his opponent due to a dispute over land in Manohardi on Friday.
The victim's brother Main Uddin and his wife Sathi Akhter were injured in the incident. Ain Uddin died at the National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital in Dhaka at 9 o'clock on Friday night.
He is the son of deceased Icham Uddin of Birgaon village of Krishnapur union of upazila. He was a farmer by profession. He is the father of two sons.
Main Uddin, the brother of the deceased, said, "There has been a dispute over the land of the house they lived with their neighbor Rafiqul for about a month. Due to this incident, opponent Rafiqul along with the people of his father-in-law's house attacked our house with a group of native weapons. Seeing them, I closed the door of the house.
Meanwhile, my brother Ainuddin came home from outside and surrounded him and started beating him. And they broke the door of the house and beat me and my wife. When my brother got hit on the head and was seriously injured in the attack, he was taken to the National Institute of Neuroscience Hospital in Dhaka after receiving first aid at the Manohardi Upazila Health Complex.
He died at 8:30 pm while undergoing treatment there. And we went home with treatment from the upazila health complex.
Jewel Hossain, OC of Manohardi Police Station said, "The murder happened due to a land dispute. We came to the spot after receiving the news. Legal action will be taken in this regard.
