Ex-PM’s adviser Tawfiq-e-Elahi arrested

Former prime minister Sheikh Hasina’s power, energy, and mineral resources affairs adviser Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury has been arrested.
A team of the Detective Branch of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police apprehended him in the capital’s Gulshan area on Tuesday night.
Confirming the matter, DMP Additional Commissioner (DB) Rezaul Karim Mallik said Tawfiq-e-Elahi was taken to the DB office.
