
Ex MP Fazle Karim Chowdhury granted two-day remand

The court granted the two-day remand of former Member of Parliament ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury in Chittagong Rauzan.
There was news that ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury, the former Member of Parliament of Raujan, will be produced in court. But 10 to 12 youth entered the court building after crossing the barrier. At this time they started giving various slogans. Ignoring the police obstacles, they tried to kill this former member of parliament. They also clashed with the police.
Former Member of Parliament ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury was produced in the court in an attempt to murder case of Raujan. The court of Chittagong Judicial Magistrate Nurul Harun granted his two-day remand. Earlier, police arrested him in a total of five cases in Chittagong city and district.
Strict security was taken in the area around the court premises from 5 am on Tuesday morning to produce Fazle Karim. A large police force was deployed. Fazle Karim was brought to the Chittagong Judicial Magistrate building around 7 am. A few youths started a ruckus on the way from below the building to take them directly to the court. Some of them were also holding banners and posters saying 'Fazle Karim's death is wanted'.
Fazle Karim Chowdhury was elected Member of Parliament in 2001, 2008, 2014, 2018 and 2024 in Chittagong-6 constituency on the nomination of Awami League. In 2014, he was elected unopposed. He is the Vice President of Chittagong North District Awami League.
On September 12, Fazle Karim Chowdhury was arrested while trying to flee to India illegally through Akhaura border in Brahmanbaria
