Ex-agriculture minister Razzaque arrested

Former agriculture minister Muhammad Abdur Razzaque was arrested in Dhaka on Monday night.
A team of the Detective Branch of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police apprehended Razzaque, also the presidium member of the Awami League, in the Eskaton area, the DMP said.
Since the fall of the Sheikh Hasina-led government on 5 August in the face of the mass uprising, many of her cabinet members along with the Awami League leaders and activists have gone into hiding.
Abdur Razzaque was arrested some 10 days after the Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) instructed banks to freeze the accounts of the former minister and his family members.
