A colourful rally was organized by the District Police in front of the Pirojpur Zilla Parishad and ended to the CO office premises of the town to inaugurate the Traffic Week through helmet distribution, discussion meetings and various awareness programs related to road safety on Thursday morning.
Superintendent of Police of Pirojpur Khan Muhammad Abu Nasser spoke as the chief guest on the occasion.
It is important for every driver and pedestrian to obey traffic laws to ensure road safety.
As part of traffic week, the district police distributed free helmets to motorcyclists. During this time, the general public was given an idea about the road transport law and the conviction of building safe roads was expressed.

Mubarak Hossain, District Bus-Minibus Owners Association General Secretary Gazi Asaduzzaman Masum, District Labour Union President Alif Ahmed Rajib, OC (Investigation) Md. Tariqul Islam, Traffic TI (Admin) Md. Moniruzzaman along with various district police officers, bus owners, labour union leaders, members of the voluntary organization Positive Pirojpur were present.
