The situation gets worse during the month of Ramadan. Even on fasting days, the prices of daily necessities in the market are unbridled. However, low-income people are increasingly worried about the price of daily commodities in the market. The lower and lower middle class consumers are suffering from the increased prices of daily commodities.

Many people are not able to buy the necessary products within their means even by visiting shops and shops. Common people are struggling to balance their daily dal and rice accounts. Many are quietly exiting the market by buying essential products.

Despite the importation of every raw material, prices continue to rise. Last week the price of onion was 80 taka per kg, this week it was 120 taka per kg, last week the price of brinjal was 25 taka per kg, this week it was 60 taka. Last week the price of cucumber was Tk 40, this week Tk 90, last week the price of ginger was Tk 20 per kg, this week Tk 230, last week the price of garlic was Tk 170 per kg, this week Tk 220, last week the price of potato was Tk 25 per kg, this week 35, last week tomato per kg was 25, current40 in a week, price of lemon Pratihali was Tk 15, current week Tk 50, last week green chilli was Tk 50, current week Tk 70, chickpea was Tk 90 per kg last week, current week Tk 110, sugar per kg was Tk 142 last week, current week Tk 145 money, Although the price of almost every product has increased, the prices of eggs, oil, dry chillies, salt and mustard oil have remained unchanged.

On the other hand, fish and meat are now largely beyond the reach of low-income people. The chicken market has been volatile for one-and-a-half months. A kg of broiler has increased gradually and is now Tk 220-230. 300-330 taka per kg of gold chicken. Chicken eggs are being sold at the rate of Tk 45-50 per Hali farm.

The price of beef has increased by about Tk 50 in a month and is now being sold at Tk 750 per kg. Similarly, according to standards, a kg of rui-katla has increased to Tk 350-400. Farmed tilapia pangash is also not available for less than Tk 200.

In response to the question that the price of any product has increased in the last few days, grocers said that the price of everything has increased, and how much will it increase? His clear answer to the question whether the price of a product has decreased, is that if the price of something increases in this country, it does not decrease.

Habibur Rahman, a seller of raw materials in Goland Bazar, said that the reason for the increase in the price of raw materials is the wholesalers. They started buying camels in the wholesale market from morning. They are buying products from there and sending them to the capital in the hope of more profit. Which affects the retailers.

When talking to the buyers, they said, "If we increase the price of goods in this way, we have to face extreme problems. We brought the money from home according to the previous price and then two items were left out due to the price increase.”

In this regard, Goalando Upazila Nirbahi Officer Jyoti Bikas Chandra said, "We are monitoring the market regularly. We are asking the shopkeepers not to increase the prices in any way. Legal action will be taken against those who increase the price of any product unannounced.”
