Employees at Barishal Sher-e-Bangla Medical Hospital directed to wear designated uniforms

The administration of Barishal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital has issued a directive requiring all officials and staff to wear designated uniforms.
The directive was given by Hospital Director Brigadier General Dr. A.K.M. Moshiul Munir on Tuesday during a uniform distribution event for outsourced staff working at the hospital.
He stated that in order to restore discipline within the hospital, it is essential for all doctors, nurses, and staff members to wear their assigned uniforms. Without proper attire, it becomes difficult to distinguish between medical personnel and outsiders, which enables brokers, imposters, and fraudulent individuals to freely enter the hospital and engage in unethical activities. Hence, strict adherence to uniform policy will be enforced.
Dr. Munir noted that while most nurses and several doctors already wear uniforms, issues persist because many fourth-class and outsourced employees do not. As a result, uniforms were distributed to all outsourced staff yesterday, and uniforms will soon be distributed to fourth-class employees as well. Once this is implemented, it will be easier to identify and take legal action against unauthorized individuals within the hospital premises.
Additionally, he emphasized that wearing designated identification cards will now be mandatory for all medical personnel, alongside uniform compliance.
The event was held in front of the hospital director’s office, where Deputy Director Dr. S.M. Moniruzzaman and Assistant Director (Finance & Store) Dr. Rezwanul Alam Raihan were also present.
