The event was graced by the chief guest, Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University, Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan.

Also present were Pro-Vice Chancellor (Admin ) Prof Dr. Saima Haque Bidisha, Treasurer Prof Dr. M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof Dr. Abdus Salam, Dean of the Faculty of Biology, Professor Dr. Md. Enamul Haque, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Professor Dr. Taiyebur Rahman, Provost of Rokeya Hall, Profe Dr. Hosne Ara Begum, Provost of Shamsun Nahar Hall, Prof Dr. Nasrin Sultana, Provost of Bangladesh-Kuwait Friendship Hall, Prof Dr. Mahbuba Sultana, Provost of Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall, Professor Dr. Aleya Begum, Provost of Kabi Sufia Kamal Hall, Professor Dr. Salma Nasreen, Proctor Associate Prof Saifuddin Ahmed, Acting Registrar Munshi Shams Uddin Ahmed, Student Representative Umama Fatima and heads of various departments of the university. The program was moderated by the university's Accounts Director Mohammad Saiful Islam.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan said, this assistance is an emergency measure. About 53 percent of our students are female. However, there are only 5 residential halls for them. Many female students come from remote areas. They do not have relatives in Dhaka. In the beginning, tuition is not even available. All in all, life is difficult for them. As a university, we have limitations, but still we are trying to ease the hardships of the students.

The Vice Chancellor further said, Dhaka University is a national institution. Just as its achievements bring joy to the society, its limitations should also be made known to the society. Currently, we have a budget deficit of Tk 51 crore. Despite the limitations, we want this support to be extended to all students in the future. For this, I urge the capable people of the society, including the Alumni Association, to come forward.
