An election rally was held in Katiadi for BNP candidate Advocate Jalal Uddin in Kishoreganj-2 (Katiadi-Pakundia) constituency ahead of 13th National Parliament election.

The election rally was held at the traditional Katiadi Government College ground at 4 pm on Monday in the presence of thousands of people.

The rally was presided over by Katiadi Upazila BNP President and former Municipal Mayor Alhaj Md. Tofazzal Hossain Khan Dilip and moderated by General Secretary Arifur Rahman Kanchan.

Former district BNP vice-president Ruhul Amin Akil, Ashfaq Ahmed June, Shahiduzzaman Kakon, senior leaders of upazila and union BNP, commanders of Katiadi and Pakundia upazila Muktijoddha Sangsads, leaders of traditional religions and leaders of various levels of the electoral alliance's partner parties also spoke.

Advocate Jalal Uddin said, if we come to power, we will arrange family cards for women so that they can become self-reliant. Along with providing employment to the unemployed, we will also arrange for them to learn different languages so that they can get employment opportunities in different countries. There will be a farmer card especially for farmers. Through this card, they will be able to purchase fertilizers and pesticides at low prices.

He also said - I have received what I am owed, now I have come to explain my dues to you. If you vote for me and elect me, then my door will always be open to your happiness and sorrow.

Besides, he sought everyone's support by always keeping himself engaged in solving all kinds of problems of the common people of Katiadi-Pakundia.

Other leaders at the event called on the leaders and activists to work unitedly to ensure the victory of the BNP candidate in the upcoming elections.

He expressed the hope that the BNP candidate would be victorious with the efforts of all, forgetting all differences and in the interest of the party.
