Elder brother killed by younger for dung dumping in Cumilla

Elder brother Hanif Mia (35) was killed by his younger brother for dumping cow dung on the root of a banana tree in Chandina, Cumilla.
The incident took place on Wednesday afternoon at Anich Mohammad's house (Anichha Bari) in Chandina Upazila Sadar.
The deceased Hanif Mia is the son of Anu Mia of that area. Hanif is the eldest among the three brothers. The murderer is the younger brother of Anich Mia Ni-h-t.
Eyewitness Himel said that the two brothers have separate cattle farms. Two brothers have been dumping cow dung in each other's empty space near the house for a long time. On Wednesday afternoon, there was an argument between the two brothers over dumping of cow dung at that place.
In the midst of extreme tension, Mezh's brother Anich Mia attacked his elder brother Hanif Mia and at one point hit him with a piece of wood, and the piece of wood entered his head through the left eye. He was immediately rescued and taken to Chandina Upazila Health Complex where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
Chandina Upazila Health Officer Dr. Md. Arifur Rahman said that marks of injuries of sharp weapons were found on different parts of his body. He died due to massive hemorrhage and brain injury.
Deputy Inspector (SI) of Chandina Police Station from the scene. Ghiyas Uddin confirmed the matter and said that the killer fled after the incident. Efforts are being made to arrest the murderer along with legal measures in this incident.
