Edn ministry prepares to reopen schools, colleges from 28 April

Staff Correspondent

The education ministry has taken all preparations to reopen secondary schools and colleges from 28 April.

According to the ministry, the current temperature in the country is not the highest recorded in Bangladesh. Moreover, the temperatures across all regions of the country are not equal at this moment.

Sources at the ministry concerned disclosed this information, according to media reports.

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has issued a nationwide heat alert today, forecasting a heat wave for the next three days. Consequently, in line with the decision to reopen schools, students will not engage in outdoor activities, and regular assemblies will remain suspended until further notice.

The education ministry plans to keep class activities running even on Saturdays from 4 May until further instruction. Such preparations have been made, said sources at the ministry concerned.
