DU Prof Ikramul Haq appointed Judicial Service Commission member

Dhaka University’s Faculty of Law acting dean Prof Dr Mohammad Ikramul Haq has been appointed as a member of the Bangladesh Judicial Service Commission (BJSC) for the next five years.
The appointment was confirmed through a notification issued by the Ministry of Law on Monday, with the signature of Law Secretary Sheikh Abu Taher.
According to the notification, the President of the People's Republic of Bangladesh made the appointment in accordance with the Bangladesh Judicial Service Commission Rules, 2007.
Ikramul’s appointment, effective immediately, will see him serve on the commission that plays a vital role in the recruitment and discipline of judicial officers in Bangladesh. His experience and leadership in the legal academia at Dhaka University are expected to contribute significantly to the Commission’s objectives over the next term.
