Distribution of Consumer Rights Protection Act leaflets and fines in Manikganj

Assistant Director of the District Consumer Protection Department Asaduzaman Romel has fined three institutions of Manikganj district fifteen thousand taka for various irregularities and the operation of the Directorate of Consumer Affairs to prevent product price control, counterfeiting and illegal stocking of products.
The operation was conducted in Aricha market of Shivaloy upazila of the district on Wednesday morning.
In view of the holy month of Ramadan, to keep the supply and price of daily necessities normal, leaflets regarding the protection of consumer rights were distributed among the traders and the respected traders and buyers-consumers were made aware.
At the end of the campaign, an exchange meeting was held with the business leaders of Aricha port market regarding the Consumer Rights Act.
Business leaders, Shivaloy Upazila Sanitary Inspector and Manikganj Ansar Battalion36 cooperated in the campaign.
