Disabled children not burden, an inseparable part of society : DC N’ganj

Narayanganj Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Zahidul Islam Miah has stated that disabled children are not a burden on society; rather, they are an inseparable part of it. With love and support, they too can become valuable assets to the nation.
He made these remarks on Wednesday while speaking as the chief guest at the annual sports and award distribution ceremony of Anirban Disabled Child Care School & Rehabilitation Center in Bingrab, Rupganj.
During his speech, he also mentioned that certain groups are attempting to destabilize the country. While people have various demands and needs, these should be addressed through proper procedures. However, causing destruction, blocking roads, or engaging in violent protests in the name of demanding rights will not be tolerated. Additionally, he assured that law enforcement agencies remain vigilant in preventing crimes such as theft, robbery, and snatching.
The event was presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Saiful Islam. Other attendees included Purbachal Revenue Circle (Land) Officer Ubaiyur Rahman Shahel, Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Tarikul Alam, Upazila LGED Engineer Akhtar Hossain, District Social Services Deputy Director Asaduzzaman Sardar, District Disability Affairs Officer Mohammad Sohail, and Chief Advisor of Nishshartho Samajkalyan Jubo Sangathan, Sanaullah Mannan Sani, among others.
At the end of the event, sports equipment and wheelchairs were distributed among disabled children.
