A child died of diarrhoea in Alikadam Upazila Health Complex. The guardian of the child is alleging negligence on the part of the doctor and the concerned nurse and prescribing the wrapper after the death in the morning. But the doctor says that the child died due to food getting stuck in the airway.

The 9-month-old child Mizan of Abu Bakkar Siddique and Dilfuruz Begum, a resident of the 3rd Ward of Alikadam Sadar Union, was suddenly diagnosed with diarrhea since yesterday morning. At 3:00 PM, the baby was brought to the Alikadam Upazila Health Complex by the doctor Aminul Haque, who is on duty in the emergency
department.

Admission.After admission the child is given a saline push and prescribed some medicines and told to feed regularly. Dilfuruz Begum, the mother of child Mizan, said that there was no change in the child even after she gave saline. At 9:00 in the morning, he was trying to feed Mizan with cake dipped in colored tea, while the patient's restlessness increased.

At that time, the doctor (Medical Officer) Hosanur Rashid, who was on duty for regular checkup, arrived there and after trying various methods to normalize the child, he wrote an immediate referral. By this time the child was completely pale and his whole body turned blue.

When asked about the post-mortem referral, Medical Officer Hosanur Rashid told this reporter that he needed life support and we did not have life support here so he was referred.

After receiving the information, the police came from Alikadam police station, but they left as the guardian of the child Mizan said not to file any complaint or case.

However, residents and patients under treatment in the hospital complain that although many patients are admitted to this hospital with various diseases, they may be referred elsewhere or discharged with nominal medical care
