Development, progress not possible by leaving people of char areas : MP Anwarul

 Development and progress of the area is not possible by leaving the people of the 40 char areas of Bhurungamari Upazila behind in agricultural technology. The development and progress of the country depends on agriculture.
 
 Kurigram-1 MP Anwarul Islam said these  while speaking as the chief guest at the distribution of group irrigation equipment of the Modern Agricultural Technology Extension Project (1st Revised) in the Char Areas of Bangladesh. 
 
On Wednesday afternoon, group irrigation equipment was distributed at the Upazila Auditorium by the Upazila Agricultural Extension Department. At this time, these equipment were distributed free of charge among 30 farmers of the Upazila's Char areas. It was presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shahadat Hossain. Project Director Krishibid Ziaur Rahman, Additional Deputy Director Krishibid Mehedi Hasan, Kurigram District Jamaat Ameer Azizur Rahman Sarkar, Upazila BNP Convener Kazi Alauddin Mandal, among others, delivered speeches. Upazila Agriculture Officer Agriculturist Abdul Jabbar delivered the welcome speech. In his speech as the chief guest, the MP said that people do not give importance to free things. He urged farmers to give importance to using modern technology. 
 
He advised the Agriculture Department to take up regular supervision and more action plans for the development of agriculture of the people of Char. He expressed his hope that he would continue working for the development of Bhurungamari.
