Debate competition in Gafargaon on Youth Festival

An inter-college debate competition was held in Gafargaon, Mymensingh, on the occasion of Youth Festival-2025. The competition was organized by the Upazila Administration on Sunday (January 19) morning at the Gafargaon Government College Hall.
Under the chairmanship of Professor Kazi Faruk Ahmed, the convener of the Upazila Youth Festival Celebration Committee and the principal of Gafargaon Government College, a debate competition on the topic "Personal awareness is more important than institutional initiatives to combat dengue" was held at the college level with the participation of young students.
Gafargaon Mohila College was the champion and Gafargaon Government College was the runner-up. Esha Tanha, a 12th grade humanities student of Gafargaon Mohila College, was selected as the best speaker at the college level.
Associate Professor Md. Nazmul Huda and Lecturer Md. Rafiqul Islam of Gafargaon Government College and Assistant Professor Ahsan Habib and Lecturer Sabbir Kamal of Gafargaon Mohila College served as judges in the debate competition.
Associate Professor Dr. Shihab Uddin served as the moderator in the debate competition. Teachers and students of the participating educational institutions were present.
