Dead bodies of husband, wife recovered in Cumilla

Police recovered dead bodies of husband and wife from a rented house in Gauripur area of Daudkandi Upazila of Cumilla . The bodies of the couple Aminul Islam (45) and Maleka (40) were recovered from the house of expatriate Mujib Mia of Lakshmipur village of Gouripur Union at around 1.00am on Saturday.
Inspector in charge of Gouripur Police Investigation Center Md. Asaduzzaman confirmed this information. The deceased Aminul Islam is the son of Abdul Mannan Munsi of Ambalpur village in Jagatpur union of Titas upazila.
Maleka Begum is the daughter of Nawab Mia of Sadakpur village of Burichong upazila. According to local sources, this is their second marriage and both have children from previous marriages. Nargis Begum, wife of expatriate Mujibur Rahman, owner of the house, said that six months ago, Aminul Islam and Maleka Begum rented a room in our building as husband and wife.
They came every Thursday afternoon during the week and left on Saturdays. As usual, since they came home last Thursday and went to the room, they did not open the door until Friday evening. After telling the people, they informed the police.
The police came and broke down the door to find them dead. Gouripur police investigation center in-charge inspector Md. Asaduzzaman said that two bodies were recovered after receiving information from the locals. Police investigation is ongoing to find out the cause of death. The bodies of the two are being sent to Cumilla Medical College Hospital for post-mortem. The exact cause of death will be known after the autopsy.
