DC inaugurates "Animal Shed" for care, treatment, rehab of rescued wildlife in Kalapara

For the first time in Bangladesh, an "Animal Shed" has been inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner at the initiative of the Deputy Commissioner in Kalapara.
On Thursday noon , Patuakhali Deputy Commissioner (Joint Secretary) Dr. Mohammad Shahid Hossain Chowdhury inaugurated the "Animal Shed" as the chief guest at the Nilganj Union Parishad premises of the upazila.
Kalapara Upazila Executive Officer Md. Arifuzzaman, Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Yasin Sadek, Upazila Forest Officer (Additional Duty) Md. Moniruzzaman, Kalapara Television Journalist Forum General Secretary Farid Uddin Bipu, Animal Lovers Patuakhali branch member Mohammad Bayzid, and officials of various government departments and media workers were present at that time.
In his speech as the chief guest, Dr. Mohammad Shahid Hossain Chowdhury said that the activities of the voluntary organization Animal Lovers are very commendable. Therefore, this Animal Lovers shed has been built for the care and treatment of wildlife at the initiative of the district administration.
The members of Animal Lovers need modern equipment to rescue various poisonous snakes and ferocious animals. If they give us a demand letter, we will definitely take it into consideration and provide them with the equipment. I urge the members that each member will work shoulder to save the animal kingdom and maintain the balance of the environment. We, the district administration, are always by your side.
