DB raid in Goalimandra’s Bede Community: 18- Kg cannabis seized with private car

A special operation by the District Detective Branch (DB) police was conducted in Goalimandra, a known drug hotspot in Louhajang upazila of Munshiganj and 18- kg of cannabis and a private car were seized during the raid.
Acting on a tip-off, a special DB police team took position at Goalimandra Bazaar at around 3 PM on Wednesday. Sensing the presence of law enforcement, the drug dealers abandoned a private car and fled. Later, in the presence of local council members and respected individuals, the car’s trunk was opened, revealing a total of 18 kg of cannabis packed in five separate parcels.
Munshiganj DB has said, efforts are underway to identify and bring the drug traffickers to justice swiftly.
The special team has announced stricter anti-narcotics operations. Authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to enforcing a zero-tolerance policy against drugs, ensuring that the ongoing crackdown continues.
