CReLIC conducts day-long training for IUT students at LGED

The Climate Resilient Local Infrastructure Center (CReLIC) of the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) organized a day-long training session for engineering students at the LGED Headquarters in Agargaon, Dhaka.
The training session took place on Sunday, at the seminar room on the 4th floor of the LGED Headquarters as part of the ongoing Industrial Training Program.
A total of 25 third-year students from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Islamic University of Technology (IUT) participated in the event.
The program was conducted as part of a three-week industrial training module held from September 13 to October 4, 2025. During the session, presentations were delivered on the ongoing operational activities of CReLIC along with various national and international climate-resilient engineering frameworks.
LGED Additional Chief Engineer and CReLIC Director Kazi Saiful Kabir inaugurated the training program as the chief guest. Executive Engineer of LGED Road and Bridge Maintenance Unit Dewan Abdus Sabur was also present during the inaugural session.
CReLIC Executive Engineer Fatema Ismat Ara, Assistant Engineer Arpan Paul, and Climate Resilient Infrastructure Specialist Sadekur Rahman Bhuiyan conducted the technical sessions as trainers.
