Country counts 544 road crash deaths in February

The country witnessed 583 road accidents, resulting in 544 fatalities and 867 injuries.
Among those, 206 individuals lost their lives in 187 motorcycle accidents, accounting for 37.86 percent of the total deceased. The rate of motorcycle accidents stands at 32.07 percent.
In addition, 109 pedestrians lost their lives, comprising 20.03 percent of the deceased.
These findings were disclosed in a press notification by the Road Safety Foundation on 13 March.
According to the report, 472 people succumbed to road crashes in January, averaging 15.22 percent daily fatalities.
In February, the average daily fatalities increased to 18.75, resulting in a 23.19 percent rise in the fatality rate compared to January.
