A copyist who officially got payment of Tk 36 per page has allegedly become owner of crores of taka in a short period of time seems to be an unbelievable story but it has come true in Tejgaon Sub- registry Complex.

Many of them have become 'mafias 'of corruption in the land sector during the previous Sheikh Hasina's government.

Some have murder cases against them and many have been granted bail with the blessings of money and power despite being convicted defendants.

He is still in the job. Among them, Shamim Ahsan, Copyist Association President Shahin copyist Rimi Islam Maryam is one of them. The entire registry complex was under their control during the last few years of the previous government. He has built a secret empire of crime through corruption and fraud. With which some more copyist and senior officials of the said registry complex are involved.

Shamim Hasan, a counterfeiter of Pallabi Sub -registry office has allegedly become a millionaire. He was the corrupt collector (cashier) of former district registrar Sabikunnahar. Due to his closeness with her , Shamim Hasan became a millionaire and he owns billions of illegal financial assets in the capital including his village home and own area.

He has become the owner of huge wealth by impersonating the people of the ruling autocratic government during the previous government . He is allegedly involved in various types of brokerage lobbying and forgery with copies of pay orders, VAT, IT invoices. He is also known to be a womanizer and a greedy person.

Sources said he had extramarital affairs with different women. They are constantly taking women in various residential hotels. Women and alcohol are his addiction.

He collected weekly extortion from the office and shared it with Shahin Alam, President of Copyists Association of Sadar and Gias Uddin of Sub-Registry office of Gulshan shared each other other which will be proved by investigation. Despite numerous complaints against them in the past days, no action was taken.

Md. Shaheen Alam, President of Copyists Association who exercised his power during the previous government put all the copyists working in Tejgaon Sub-registry Complex building in a scary situation. Shahin Alam is a defendant in numerous cases, even though he was sentenced in one case, he is still at work with the power of the ruling party's patronage and illegal money.

Another counterfeiter of Pallabi Sub- registrar office is Rimi Islam Mariam. She pretended to be the niece of former illegal government MP Abdus Sobhan Golap and became the owner of unusual illegal financial assets by showing her power in the office. She was supposed to write 'Balam Book ' but without doing that she has been been involved in various illegal activities. Showing her power as the leader of the ruling Awami League, she did not care about anyone from senior officials to low-ranking employees.

Most of the officials were trapped in her . Many people have complained to the media that they are still misbehaving with office officials and employees. Everyone in the office is afraid of him. The scary thing is that he introduces himself as sub register at various places. A corrupt employee which will be exposed only after spot investigation.

Even though these corrupt fake prophets held a fair of corruption in the land registry complex, the higher authorities never took any action against them.

On the contrary, several sources in the land sector have said that senior officials in all positions, including the district register, have implemented their corruption through these dishonest fake prophets. The head of the current interim government, Prof Dr. Muhammad Yunus, has said goodbye to corruption and expressed his determination to give a healthy Bangladesh.

Several officers and employees in the land sector have demanded to make this institution free from corruption by taking strict legal action against these corrupt employees .
