Corruption, harrasment of public alleged : Dhanmondi Sub-registry Office held hostage by Omedar Rana

Allegations of corruption and irregularities have been found against Omedar Rana Ahmed of Dhanmondi Sub Registry Office of Dhaka Registration Complex. Deed donors-receivers and deed writers are being taken hostage every day and huge amount of money is being taken illegally, it widely alleged.
Omedar Rana also kept hostages of assistants, peons and copyists of the sub-registry office by various means of intimidation. As a result, no one dares to say a word against him.
The spot investigation showed that 10 years ago, this Rana used to sell tea standing in front of the registry office. Then the corrupt typist of Dhaka district registrar Matiur Rahman (currently chief assistant in Manikganj) in collusion with former district registrar Abdul Jalil appointed him to the post of Omedar at Dhanmondi office with a huge sum of money.
Shortly after that, Omedar Rana began to embezzle huge money through corruption by harassing people in various ways.
Later, Omedar Rana was transferred to the Ashulia office by the then district registrar of Dhaka Deepak Kumar Sarkar, on charges of public harassment and harassment. After 3 months, Rana rejoined the Dhanmondi office and turned the office into an arena of bribery and corruption.
Rana's affinity with Dhanmondi Sub-registrar Abul Hossain increased as he delivered several lakhs of bribes per document to Rana's sub-registrar Siddheshwari's house after evening.
Rana has now moved the catch, showing slight lapses and continuing to collect 3% interest on the deed value. He recently got into a fight with a colleague for protesting the matter.
Meanwhile, Rana is living in an 1800 square feet flat bought on the 3rd floor of Hatirjheel Mahanagar Housing after making several crores of illegal income by doing Omedari in Dhanmondi office. He has another flat in this building. Besides, he has also become the owner of a 4-storey luxury house in Rampura Banashree.
He bought about 30 acres of land and 5 shops in his village home at Daganbhuia in Feni district. Not only that, he bought 3 Hi-Tech micros and rented them out at Rent A Car. He has a luxury private car.
