Coordination meet in Tungipara to ensure success of Typhoid Vaccination Campaign

A coordination meeting was held in Tungipara to ensure the successful implementation of the upcoming “Typhoid Vaccination Campaign 2025 on Wednesday morning at the conference room of the Tungipara Upazila Health Complex, organized by the Upazila Health Department.
During the meeting, participants discussed in detail various aspects of awareness building, vaccination preparedness, and field-level coordination to prevent typhoid.
Representatives from the upazila administration, health department, educational institutions, and various organizations attended the session.
The campaign is being implemented in collaboration with the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), PATH, Gavi, UNICEF, and the World Health Organization (WHO).
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Farzana Akter said, typhoid is a life-threatening bacterial disease that can easily be prevented through vaccination. Everyone should take the vaccine at the scheduled time.”
Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Tanvir Ahmed said, there are some rumors spreading about the typhoid vaccine. We urge everyone not to be misled.
