Consumer Rights Protection conducts operation in Barishal hilsa markets

Barisal Bureau

The Directorate of Consumer Rights Protection has conducted an operation on the news of hilsa export to India to increase the price in the market of Barishal on Wednesday.

Consumer Rights warns fish wholesalers and retailers on raids. And in order that no one can sell hilsa at a high price in the retail market, instructions are given to pull the price list.

However, no inconsistency was found in the price of hilsa during the campaign, said the Directorate of Consumer Rights Protection. Today, hilsa is being sold at the price of 68,000 taka per kilogram, 72,000 taka per 1200 grams, and 62,000 taka per kg.

However, Deputy Director of Consumer Rights Protection Department Apurba Adhikari said, if anyone tries to sell by syndicate at higher price, action will be taken against him.
